Back from Break

Sorry for the lengthy hiatus but I needed a break after all the blogging we did while traveling. It was really fun to get to share our stories while we were experiencing them, but it was also a good bit of work so I just needed a little time off. I feel refreshed and I'm ready to get back to it.

Since our last post in Vietnam, a lot has happened with us. The biggest news we have is that we recently celebrated our one year anniversary, which was wonderful! We both weren't quite up for a trip or weekend away to celebrate. Instead, we wanted to relax at home, so that's what we did! We spent the weekend just hanging out, had some good food, and went to see Ray LaMontagne in concert. We had a wonderful weekend celebrating our first year of marriage, which btw was awesome! Marriage rocks! Here are a few very happy memories from that very special day.

I start back to school tomorrow, which I'm looking forward to, but I also know that this will mean lots of work for Lindsay. I'll be starting a new field placement and I'm also taking more credit hours this year than I have in years past. Thankfully, this is my last year as a graduate student! I'm very much looking forward to being done with grad school! I'm ready to work, but then again, the grass is always greener on the other side...

Jon is back to work as well and will be leaving his small firm job to be starting at his very long-awaited big law firm job on October 4th. I know he is excited to get to it, but it will definitely be an adjustment for both of us. Long hours are definitely in his future, so it's a blessing that I will be busy with school! Can't sit around missing him too much :P

Not much else to report, but I'm happy to be back to blogging. Also, I hope to soon get some photos up on facebook of our trip. Stay tuned.
