Easter Celebration

This past weekend was Easter, and Jon and I celebrated at home with friends. We missed being with family, but we needed to stay in town for several reasons. School is really picking up for me, and sadly, I had to work all day Saturday. Also, we are attempting to keep up the bus (Subaru) for as long as possible. So far, it's holding up ok, but we are planning to drive to NJ for Anna's Christening in a couple weeks, and we figured two trips in three weeks would be a lot on the poor ole bus.

It was my first time cooking for the occasion and I'd say it was a success. We hosted about 12 people, which meant that I cooked all day long. (I have a tendency to over do it on the food!) I have a new appreciation for those who host holidays in their home. We seriously finished cleaning the kitchen about 24 hours later. I love doing it though, and it was great having all our friends over! I wasn't very good about taking pics- I managed to take a total of 3. Whoops!

I have to be brief with the post because I have some required writing to do, but I wanted to write a quick update since it's been awhile. School is eating up all my blogging time! One more month though and I'll be free to blog all day.

This was the first time we drank out of our crystal! I insisted to Jon that we capture the big moment.
