Direction

I'm sitting here waiting for another 10-20 inches of snow to be dumped on our cold, and already snowy city, and I'm thinking about what direction I will choose for my blog. Will it be a blog where I simply talk about what Jon and I are doing, or will it be a blog with a theme? Shall I post great recipes, thoughts, politico talk, or will I just write about whatever crosses my lil mind for the day?

Considering I am somewhat of an indecisive person, I think I will go with the "whatever I feel like" blog idea. In that case, I'm going to tell you a little secret about myself.

I have an addiction. Yes, I said addiction. I've never known how bad it was until recently. I always knew it existed, but I never understood the extent of my addiction until all this snow came into the picture. Alright, here goes... I'm totally, can't live without it, am going insane without it, addicted to receiving mail. That's right, I'm addicted to the post man/woman, coming to my mailbox and leaving, mostly stuff I throw away, for me to open. What is it about getting snail mail that makes me so excited?

Maybe it's the fact that it's always a surprise, or better yet, maybe it's because I'm always secretly hoping I'll get an awesome and unexpected present. Lately I've loved mail because it all comes to Lindsay Ammons. I still am getting a total kick out of the fact that my name is "Lindsay Ammons". (Not sure if I'm ever gonna get used to that).

I think it's safe to say the reason I am "feening" right now is the lack of mail I'm receiving. This snow has cut off my life line. I need someone to come along and throw me a bone. Maybe FedEx or UPS is running and will deliver something for a needy addict. All I'm saying is I need a piece of mail to get back on track. A "quick fix" if you will.

Well I feel much better getting this off my shoulders. Blogging is awesome...

Sincerely,

Lindsay "I have a problem" Ammons

  1. Your post is very pertinent. Reading about your addiction I am torn whether to divulge and give you a quick fix, or to allow you the thrill of a surprise in your mailbox. As you're new to blogging, and this being my first comment, I'll enable you... I've sent something your way...

  2. I LOVE MAIL TOO. Ever since I can remember, I waited patiently for the mailman to come every afternoon. Not that I got anything when I was 4, but still, it was exciting.
