Weekend Update

Jon and I had a pretty low key weekend with a couple of exciting highlights. Friday night we tried a new restaurant called Ping Pong Dim Sum. I would describe it as trendy,with a spin on traditional dim sum. The food was great as well as the company- we went with our friends Erin and David. We were celebrating his arrival back to the US. After dinner we went and had drinks at a new bar in Chinatown called Iron Horse. DC folks get very excited when a new bar pops up and I'm no exception.

Saturday night we went to a going away party for our friend Adam. Adam is being sent to San Angelo, Texas for intelligence training with the Air Force. Adam claims to read my blog so this is my first official shout-out! Actually this is a test to see if he actually reads :)

Our weekend was fun, and we always enjoy hanging out with our wonderful friends, however, somewhere along the way I got sick. BOO. I have what I think is a cold. I was just thinking, "man I haven't been sick in awhile". Just when I thought I was safe...

Oh and a quick update on our apartment for those who are curious- it's still not fixed. They spent the majority of last week trying to fix the holes in the roof. Our apartment's wrecked condition did not seem to be the primary focus. Yes, this does make sense, but I was still getting antsy. Jon has done a very good job "cooling my jets". I do not possess the virtue of patience, as many of you know, and I am very ready to have my space back to normal. Good news is they have started working on the inside of the apartment.



Due to my sickly condition this is all I got for now. Back to the couch to rest.
